NASASpaceflight reported on October 9 that Ship 42, slated for Starship Flight 15 with Booster 22, has gone back to SpaceX's Massey's test site for a third round of cryogenic proof testing, after SpaceX removed all six of its engines. The outlet said the reason was unclear.

According to NASASpaceflight, an FAA air-traffic planning slide lists Flight 15 no earlier than November 8. The outlet describes these planning dates as unofficial; SpaceX has not announced a date.

The following flight, listed as Starlink Group 30-1, is slated to be the first Starship launch from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center, NASASpaceflight reports. Meanwhile, Ship 40 from Flight 13 returned to Texas on October 7 after 75 days at sea.
